Update
September 15, 2011 Farley, IA - DJ was the solo brother competing in Farley, IA tonight as Ethan was unable to get off work to compete. Successful trip as he placed 2nd in both his heat and feature. This should place Ethan and DJ both in the top 5 in Semi-Pro National Points. Next up will be the finale at Elko Speedway in Minnesota for the Dirt Nationals.
September 3, 2011 Beaver Dam - With rain off and on all day, only features were scheduled for the final night of racing at Beaver Dam Raceway. A 25 lap feature on hand would have Ethan starting 18th and DJ 19th. Both cars proved to be strong and were picking cars off 1 by 1 advancing up the field. Ethan would pass 15 cars and finish 3rd in the caution free race while DJ also had a strong run finishing 7th in the 21 car field. 141 is on schedule for tomorrow to conclude the WI Legends Racing season.
August 27, 2011 2nd place in heat 1 for dj and Ethan got 2nd in heat 2.
Dj finished 3rd and Ethan finished 4th in the feature.
August 19-20, 2011 The trip to Tipton, Iowa on Friday was a good night of racing for the RBR team. Ethan finished 6th, DJ 10th in the 18 car field. Saturday night in Beaver Dam also fielded 18 cars and the 87 finished 5th and Ethan 6th.
August 6, 2011 Beaver Dam - Ethan started the night off by winning his heat race and DJ was fast but got stuck in traffic and finished 6th. Ethan was able to claim the lead in the feature about 4 laps in and led from there until about 3 to go when the motor went sour. He lost power on the straightaways and was passed in the closing laps. DJ crept close to the top 5 but on a late restart his handling went ill and dropped back through the field. Ethan finished 2nd, DJ 11th.
August 4, 2011 Sturgeon Bay - Fun night of racing in Sturgeon Bay. Ethan won his heat and both cars made adjustments for the 20 lap feature on the dry slick track. Both cars immediately jumped out front running in the top 3. Ethan led around 8 laps and then dropped to 3rd on a restart. He and DJ would battle back and forth for numerous laps until Ethan took the spot and finished 3rd, DJ 4th.
July 30, 2011 Beaver Dam - DJ broke a shifter linkage bolt in his heat and Ethan got a bad starting spot which pushed him to the back at the start. They looked to turn their luck around in the feature. Ethan started 11th for the main and quickly moved into the top 5. The last 5 laps Ethan was the fastest car on track and was heading to the front. He ended up 4th as DJ had handling issues but came home a solid 7th.
July 24, 2011 Angell Park - Solid night after a brief rain shower right as the races were going to start. Ethan started last and worked his way up to 5th and DJ finished 6th. Motor issues for the #54 again.................
July 23, 2011 Beaver Dam - DJ started the night with a 4th place finish in his heat. In Ethan's heat he was headed for the lead on the outside when a car took him out on the straight away. Repairs were made and was a guess on the setup for the main. Ethan started last and moved up to 5th until a final caution resulted in him finishing 7th. DJ made a late race charge utilizing the high line and finished 5th.
July 17, 2011 Sun Prairie Ethan won his heat race in Angell Park and finished 3rd in the feature. -dj
July 16, 2011 Beaver Dam - Quick report this week...Ethan won his heat race with DJ finished 2nd. Going into the feature both cars were strong and DJ won the feature! Ethan finished 6th. RBR sweep with the 54 winning the heat and the 87 winning the feature. Ethan will be at Angell Park tomorrow hopefully gunning for the 2nd feature win!
July 9, 2011 Beaver Dam - They only give me 420 characters to post, and can't describe all the race in that short amount. Crazy race, had a wreck in front which had a car roll several times. Ethan ended up dodging the wrecks and brought home 2nd place. DJ was also in front and brought home a 5th place finish..
July 2, 2011 Beaver Dam - Ethan was running 2nd on the leaders bumper when he clipped a tractor tire which caused him to DNF. Then DJ had an intense battle for the lead as he closed in over a straight away as well on the leader. DJ took the lead on lap 16 and stayed there until the 2nd place car nudged DJ and took over the lead. It was a photo finish at the checkers as DJ took 2nd place.
June 26, 2011 Angell Park - DJ started on the pole for the first heat and managed to lead a couple laps until Ethan used the high line to pilot by on the outside. Ethan led the rest of the heat and captured the win. For the main DJ started 3rd, Ethan 5th. Both cars maintained in the top 5 until the end of the race Ethan dropped to 6th where he finished. DJ finished 4th. Fun weekend, Beaver Dam Raceway again Saturday
June 25, 2011 Beaver Dam- DJ began the night leading the opening 5 laps of the heat until being spun out by the 2nd place car. Ethan took the lead and kept it until the white flag, finishing 2nd, DJ 5th. Ethan started 2nd for the feature and led the opening 8 laps until the car broke loose and remained loose for the remainder of the race. He held on and finished 5th. DJ's car couldn't find any grip and finished 8th.
June 18, 2011 Beaver Dam - Interesting night at Beaver Dam. DJ was 1 lap away from the first heat win of the season until being passed as the white flag came out. Ethan's motor isn't running how it should, and is having to do too much work to try and make up for the lack of power. DJ finished 6th, Ethan 9th in the feature. Angell Park on Sunday and then a trip to Dano's Performance to get the motor squared away..
June 11, 2011 Beaver Dam - DJ started out strong in the feature leading numerous laps until a caution came out mid-race. He held on to the lead but the car got too loose and he dropped back eventually finishing 4th. He also set the fastest lap of the race with a lap of 18.289. Ethan's car was ok, running around 7th but was still too tight and finished 9th. More adjustments this week and then a double header next weekend.
May 28, 2011 Beaver Dam - DJ had a strong start to the A-main and led 3-4 laps. He stayed in the top 5 all race long. Ethan had a little slower start and the car didn't come in until a caution with 8 laps to go and worked his way up to 6th until dropping back a couple of spots at the finish. Final finish was DJ 5th, and Ethan 8th. Off week next week, next date is scheduled for June 11 at Beaver Dam Raceway..
May 7, 2011 One lane track all night at Beaver Dam. Both cars ran 4th-6th all race until Ethan spun with 5 to go. Restarted 14th, got back up to 9th. DJ also fell back a little bit on the late restart. Final finish was DJ 7th, Ethan 9th.
